Hi, I have a client who’s search is very slow. We’re using the Ivory Search plugin to search hundreds of image attachments which have been tagged with a custom taxonomy. We’re using Timber/Twig for the front end.
Each search takes about 14 seconds (there’s over 3000 images so far). I ran it 10 times over 4 minutes to capture the monitor data.
I was hoping the monitor would show these long queries and help me diagnose the issue but it doesn’t show any long queries at all. I also used the plugin to convert the tables to use high-performance keys but it had no effect in this case.
So is there any chance you can just give that upload a brief scan and see if there’s anything there that could be causing the lengthy search time? On my localhost it takes about 3 seconds (acceptable), not the 14 with the Ionis hosting package.
